Amalia, who joined the Office in 2023, manages incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Office, and provides general public affairs guidance and support. She works closely with Local Spiritual Assemblies and their delegations to improve the consistency and effectiveness of ongoing delegation contact with members of Congress regarding the defense of Baha’is in Iran and other countries, and collaborates with the Human Rights Officer in the development of materials for these delegations and the Local Spiritual Assemblies that supervise their work. Prior to joining the office, Amalia worked on community-building efforts in Albuquerque, NM and across the state, helping youth and families build capacity for personal and collective transformation. She is passionate about the role of storytelling and the arts in developing communities. Amalia has a B.A. in Cultural Studies with a concentration in writing from SUNY Empire State College, and a Master of Arts Leadership and Cultural Management from Colorado State University.
