The Declaration of the Bab observances 2021

Thumbnail for livestreamThe Declaration of the Bab – Saturday/Sunday, May 22/23 – a recording of the 2020 holy day program can be viewed at your convenience. Traditionally, commemorations are held two hours after sunset, to coincide with the time, in 1844, when the Bab declared His divine mission. (For example, this year local holy day programs in the Chicago area will be held at 10:00 p.m. CDT on Saturday, May 22.)

The Baha’i House of Worship is still closed due to the global pandemic and no holy day program is being held. The 2020 program for the Declaration of the Bab was produced by Baha’is and friends in the Atlanta area who drew inspiration for the program from Baha’u’llah’s Tablet of the Bell, written by Him in commemoration of the Bab’s historic announcement of His station.

The Bab was a Messenger of God Whose mission was to pave the way for the coming of Baha’u’llah, and signaled the beginning of a new era for humanity.
