Celebrating the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Bab
Celebrations illumine the vision of Baha’u’llah for humanity
The first of two successive Baha’i holy days in late October marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Bab, whose ministry opened the gate to teachings revealed by Baha’u’llah that will guide humanity toward its destined unity. Celebrations held in homes and other neighborhood settings as well in larger spaces were the fruit of years of effort to enlist family, friends, neighbors and co-workers in a process of building community. And the spirit they engendered points the way toward ever-greater engagement for the common good in years ahead.
