Baha’i House of Worship hosts annual choral festival
The 15th Annual Baha’i Choir Festival
Devotional Concerts
June 18th, 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
More than 140 singers from many races, faiths, and backgrounds are coming from the United States, Canada, and Europe to sing in the 15th annual Baha’i Choir Festival under the direction of Van Gilmer, an internationally known performer and composer. Gilmer is also a known local leader of Racial Justice, and sees this event, just in time for both Juneteenth and Father’s Day, as a continuation of our unifying work to build One Human Family. Gilmer, a long-time resident of Wilmette, is inspired by the teachings of the Baha’i Faith, which is centered on the Oneness of Humanity. This festival is an example of that unity in action.
